Why nucrea use natural fiber from plants as their main material?
As a company growing in a tropical country, we are inspired to make a high quality products from the finest natural resources of Indonesia. We can find many great natural fibers resources almost everywhere in Indonesia. We took our main material from Tasikmalaya, Jogjakarta, and another city in Indonesia.
What is Natural Fiber?
Fiber or fibre itself is a class of materials that are continuous filaments or are in discrete elongated pieces, similar to lengths of thread. It can be spun into filaments, thread, string or rope. It can be used as a component of composite materials. They can also be matted into sheets to make products such as paper or felt. Fibres are often used in the manufacture of other materials. Natural fiber include those made out of plants, animal and mineral sources.
What kind of Natural Fiber that nucrea use?
We mainly use Pandanus. But we also use another natural fiber such as bamboo, coco stick, ramie, sea grass, water hyacinth, abaca, banana and rattan.
How is the products made?
Mostly, the products made from weaved material. Then we make it into shape based on the design. How about the products care and maintenance?
It is recommended to place the products in a dry and well ventilated place. Please do not allow it exposed to harsh sunlight for a very long time as this can affect the color become blurred. For cleaning, just gently wipe over the products with clothes or a use a vacuum cleaner smoothly to remove dust. If get any liquid spills, quick dry the products to prevent mould or subsequent deterioration because natural fiber can absorb moisture quickly. |
